Jumbled Lines From Jumbled Thoughts

The lines I draw in my sketchbook aren’t always neat and tidy, and they don’t always get filled with bright colours…

Sometimes I draw lines and shapes simply because I need to unload the clutter I feel in my head.

When I do that, what shows up on the page is usually an accurate reflection of the jumbled thoughts I’m trying to clear out.

Works In Progress

I’ve been using art – what I create and what I have the privilege of seeing incredibly talented people create – as a method of coping with my illness; and more specifically my chronic pain, for a few years now. However, in recent weeks, probably more like months, I’ve had difficulty completing the things I start creating. Whether it’s because I lose interest in what I start, the constant mental and physical fatigue I feel, or my inability to work through my pain, I seem to be building a collection of unfinished pages with countless works in progress.

It’s A String Thing 282: Pi Day

It’s Pi Day!

For that reason, Adele Bruno designed last week’s ‘It’s a String Thing’ challenge to pay homage to the number 3.14…

To start us off, Adele gave us a string (guideline) shaped like Pi (π) in which to draw the 3 numerically themed patterns: O3, 1+1 & 4Fun.
